Ten Empowering Realities of Estate Planning and
How They Relate to Charitable Planning With Prospects

Presenter: Pamela J. Davidson, Davidson Gift Design, Bloomington, IN
(Broadcast date: 11/17/04)

Program Description

This session will focus on a list of ten realities of estate planning and how those realities translate into donors achieving both personal and charitable goals. These ten realities translate into concrete opportunities to be charitable within the bigger estate planning context. Many gift planners have no idea how to talk about charitable giving options, and this list offers genuine opportunities to listen for clues and be proactive with prospects.

Learning objectives for this presentation include:
  • Gain a basic knowledge of the core of estate planning concepts.
  • Know how to listen for and suggest a charitable option within the context of a prospect furthering personal estate planning goals.
  • Have a “cheat sheet” list of primary estate planning concepts, an easy reference that will also affect their own planning.
