Planned giving councils have
an important role in PPP governance and in promoting meaningful
philanthropic planning in their local communities. Through

Leadership Assembly Scholarships
- “As a first-time
attendee at a Leadership Assembly, I was
very impressed with the content and the
opportunity to learn more about PPP and
the link to the individual councils. Each
council takes on a life of its own and
there are so many resources that I was
unfamiliar with and that our council has
not taken advantage of in the recent past.
Hopefully during my tenure, our council
will become stronger for my experiences at
this Leadership Conference.”
“There is a wealth of information and resources on the PPP web site that I will begin to utilize immediately. Also, other councils have great ideas to share!”
A limited number of Leadership Assembly scholarships are available for 2010. The scholarships cover registration fee and hotel room charges only, and will be awarded based upon several factors, the primary factor being demonstrated financial need. Scholarship requests will be considered in the order received. If your council is interested, please submit a letter from the president or another council leader explaining why the council is in need of an Assembly scholarship. Please e-mail your request to Belinda Gillett at firstname.lastname@example.org, or fax it to her attention at 317/269-6268.
The Assembly scholarship application deadline is April 1, 2010. Councils that are awarded scholarships will be notified during the week of April 5, 2010.
