Ends Policies
The Partnership for Philanthropic Planning's Board of Directors governs the Partnership using an
adapted model of John Carver's Policy Governance. The Partnerships
activities are directed by ends policies created by the
Board on behalf of all the organizations members and key
constituents. These policies state the results that The Partnership exists to accomplish. They specify:
- "What Good"―results, changes, or benefits that should
come about
- For "What People"―recipients, beneficiaries, or otherwise
defined impacted groups
- At "What Cost"―the relative priority or allocation of
organizational resources devoted to achievement
